Due to Covid-19, the GOSC will be held November 15th, 2020
The mission of Fayetteville Cycling is to raise awareness of bicycling in our community and to promote a healthy and active lifestyle through our love of cycling. We strive to provide a safe and friendly environment for cyclists, events, and service projects in our area.
Fayetteville has earned a reputation as the best little bicycle town in Texas. The surrounding scenic and hilly country roads make for serene cycling trips and challenging training rides. The Bike MS: Texas MS 150 2020 comes right through the middle of town and many town folks turn out with bubble machines, food and lawn chairs to cheer on each and every rider as they make their way to the first day’s stop in La Grange.
The Good Old Summertime Classic is the signature event hosted by Fayetteville Cycling. It is a Bike MS: Texas MS 150 2020 sanctioned training ride that is open to all levels and ages of cyclists. All proceeds from the ride benefit the Fayetteville Independent School District. In the last 22 years, Fayetteville Cycling has donated over $120,000 to the FISD and hopes to continue this program for many years into the future. This year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the GOSC will be held on November 15th, 2020.
Whether you are coming for a day ride or plan to make it a weekend or multiday ride, Fayetteville offers you wonderful restaurants, points of interest, and a multitude of places to stay overnight. Located on the Square are:
